PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
This unit standard is intended for people who will be responsible for the dispatching of stock from a wholesale or retail outlet. Persons credited with this unit standard operate in a number of contexts, of which some may be non-routine. They demonstrate the ability to make comparisons and interpret available information. This function involves co-ordinating with others when dispatching stock from a wholesale or retail store. These persons are able to help implement security procedures to prevent shrinkage and losses and enhance the efficiency of the supply chain by recording required information on stock being dispatched.
The qualifying learner is capable of:
- Prepare stock for dispatch from a wholesale or retail outlet.
- Prevent shrinkage and losses in the dispatching area.
- Maintain stock balances in the dispatch area in order to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain.
