Course Introduction:
The Basic End User Computing Skills Programme is designed to equip learners with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to operate computing devices effectively and safely within personal and workplace environments. The programme introduces learners to computer hardware and software concepts, operating systems, internet and email usage, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and digital communication tools. Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, learners develop the competence required to use modern computing technologies to improve productivity and workplace effectiveness.

Course Purpose:
The purpose of this skills programme is to enhance employability and workplace progression by enabling learners to confidently and safely use a range of computing devices and applications. Learners will develop proficiency in managing the interface between users and computing systems, using the internet and electronic communication tools, and creating professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The programme prepares learners to perform basic to intermediate computer-related tasks in a variety of workplace contexts while promoting safe, ethical, and productive use of information and communication technology.

Entry Requirements:
Learners must hold a qualification at NQF Level 2 or demonstrate equivalent competence through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes as prescribed by the QCTO
