EISA ASSESSMENT CENTRES (QCTO)

What is an Assessment Centre?
An Assessment Centre is a QCTO-approved facility authorised to conduct the final External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISAs) for occupational qualifications. Only accredited centres may host, manage, and invigilate these assessments, ensuring strict adherence to national quality standards. If a training provider is not registered as an Assessment Centre, learners may complete their final external assessment at Vital College, a fully accredited QCTO Assessment Centre. This ensures that all assessments are conducted in compliance with national regulations and that the resulting qualifications are officially recognised.

What is an EISA?
The External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) is a national, standardised final examination required to obtain an Occupational Certificate. It ensures that the assessment of occupational qualifications and part-qualifications is consistent, credible, and aligned with QCTO standards. To be eligible for EISA, learners must provide proof that they have successfully completed all knowledge, practical, and workplace components of the qualification. The Skills Development Provider (SDP) will issue a Statement of Results confirming that a learner has met these requirements and is approved to sit for the EISA.
